You can cut back and budget for many things on your wedding day, but your photographs should not be one of them.

 

You will spend a lot of time and money organising your wedding and when it is done all you will have left will be the memories and the photos.

How soon should you start planning your wedding? 

 

You should book things as soon as possible. While you are thinking about it many other couples are busy booking all the services for their weddings.

 

There's a limited amount of services available and if you wait too long someone else will be enjoying all of your first choices.

 

If you see a dress you love, grab it; If you visit a great venue, book it; If you find a photographer, hire them. Otherwise, someone else will be wearing that dress, walking down that aisle, and having it all captured by your favourite wedding photographer.

 

That doesn't mean that you shouldn't look around, you should, but you must also trust your instincts. Sometimes we get emails asking for quotes, and then weeks or months later they respond saying they would like to book, but in the meantime that date has been taken by someone else. So, think fast and act faster!

 

 

When should you book your photographer?

 

Most of our clients tend to book about 1 year in advance. Some book sooner and some later, it all depends on how popular the wedding date is that they have chosen.

 

You don't need to have a venue booked yet. All we need to know is the date and general location of the wedding. You can then book with us and we'll add your wedding to our calendar :)
